Should entertainment platforms add stronger friction before users share outrage-driven content?
Prompts work in a test partly because they are new. Once the same box appears every day, people tap through it like a cookie banner. The [Twitter experiment](https://www.digitaltrends.com/social-media/twitter-retweet-experiment-results/) measured article opens, not whether people understood the article or stopped sharing false claims. Better context labels and slower recommendation systems would address distribution without nagging every user.
